Where to find free sheet music

The International Music Score Library Project is the largest free resource on the Internet. Most of it consists of scans of royalty-free manuscripts and sheet music from more than 70 years ago.

In addition to its free score-writing software, Musescore offers an entire library of user contributions. The quality is variable, but there is much more current music.

The library of the Musik-Akademie Basel is very rich and openly accessible, with photocopiers to take along your favourite score.
